Loved the food. The offerings here are incredibly rich and spicy -- and many dishes are unique to the Vancouver Indian food scene. The chicken chettinadu was a dish I'd never seen on a menu here before. It was amazingly tender and with a rich spice profile that set it apart from the usual Indian chicken dish served in this city. The dal makanhi was SOOO delicious -- you can taste the sweet warmth of the kasoori methi and cardamon, balancing the heat of the other spices in the dish. And the lamb biryani was hands down the spiciest, richest, most flavorful biryani I've had here. Go!

“Absolutely loved the Easter buffet at The Madras Diaries! The Ambur biryani was rich and aromatic, parotta with mutton paya was a perfect combo, and the chicken soup had the right amount of spice. Finished off with delicious karupatti kesari and gulab jamun – total comfort food! A must-visit for South Indian food lovers in Vancouver.”
